About Us

Structured guidance for smarter coverage decisions

Coverage Matrix helps U.S. consumers and business owners compare insurance options with clarity and confidence—without relying on a salesperson to do it for them.

Our Mission

Making insurance comparison objective

Coverage Matrix was built on a simple observation: most people compare insurance policies without a consistent structure. They read marketing summaries, focus on the premium, and miss critical differences in limits, exclusions, and peril definitions that only become apparent when a claim is filed.

We exist to change that. Our platform helps U.S. consumers and small business owners organize coverage options into a clear matrix—rows for coverage elements, columns for policy choices—so comparisons become objective rather than overwhelming.

We are not affiliated with any insurance carrier, agency, or brokerage. Our role is to give you the framework, vocabulary, and tools to evaluate your options on your own terms—and to ask better questions when you do work with a licensed professional.

Coverage Matrix covers auto, home, health, life, and business insurance. The comparison method is the same across all five. Once you understand how to build a matrix in one category, you can apply it to any other.

The Problem We Solve

Coverage gaps are usually invisible until it's too late

Most coverage gaps aren't discovered at the point of purchase. They surface during a claim—when a peril is excluded, a limit is too low, or a replacement cost basis delivers far less than expected.

The matrix method exists to surface those issues before you commit. By placing every policy in the same structured format, differences that are easy to miss in a sales conversation become impossible to ignore in a side-by-side comparison.

Our guides, glossaries, and worksheets are built around this single idea: that a structured comparison, done once and done well, leads to better protection decisions than any amount of informal research.
